While working at a local lawn care firm in the late 1980s, Allen Oriti and Brian Telling discovered they really enjoyed not only the industry, but also the opportunity to work outdoors. As their friendship began to grow, they often discussed the future possibility of opening their own company. In 1997 Allen felt the time was right to follow that dream, and he left his employer to found Field of Dreams Lawn Care Inc. Brian joined Field of Dreams as Vice-President in 1999 and the company has been going strong ever since. We visited with Allen and Brian recently, and listened as they outlined the company's services and offerings;
Field of Dreams Lawn Care Inc. is a full service residential and commercial lawn fertilization company. We offer a six-step program of dry fertilizers and liquid weed controls, in addition to preventive surface and sub-surface insect control. We do foundation sprays for ants, spiders, and bees, soil treatments, core aeration, and lawn seedings. Our specialty is lawn fertilization, and we are not involved in mowing, trimming, or pruning of trees, bushes, or shrubs. We provide our customers with timely fertilizer applications in an area ranging from Elyria to Painesville, and as far south as Barberton.
We're a family owned business and pride ourselves in our high level of personalized service. We're the ones answering our telephones, and we strive to get to know our customers, their lawns, and their preferences. We personally supervise the crew doing the work, and are always available to answer questions. We even place courtesy calls to customers having pets or locked gates to let them know exactly when we'll be there to treat their lawn. It's important to know that although anybody can put down fertilizer, our main product is our dependability, knowledge of the industry, and the excellent service we provide.
